PTA

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment at Elkhorn. The PTA will provide rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, assisting patients in improving mobility, managing pain, and recovering physical function. The role requires effective communication, patient care, and collaboration with the rehabilitation team. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is expected. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and rehabilitation programs.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and prepared for use.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy or rehabilitation settings.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to patient needs.

• Experience working in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
• Additional certifications in therapy modalities or specialty areas.

• Assignment duration is 13 weeks.
• Work environment focused on rehabilitation and patient recovery.
• Compliance with facility policies and procedures is required.

• 36 hours per week guaranteed.
• Day shift schedule.
