POSITION SUMMARY:The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician (COA/T) performs various routine tasks and works effectively with other technicians and clinic personnel to provide efficient and effective services for the patients and physicians. The COA/T works daily with refractions ascan visual acuity color testing pupil evaluations visual field testing and dilation drops. The COA/T must have a clear understanding of ophthalmology terminology and have technical use of all instruments and equipment. The COA/T must also be able to make clear judgments regarding patient care and are required to assist and scribe the physician on all patients as & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCertified Ophthalmic Assistant (C.O.A.) certification or higher preferredExperience in ophthalmology setting/clinic preferredBLS/CPR certification preferredWORK SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
