Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role will involve developing complex requirements for applications within the Financial Crimes technology domain. The ideal candidate will design, code, test, and debug programs, working closely with business partners to define system application requirements. The position requires utilizing in-depth knowledge of business needs and technology to recommend innovations and support the full development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and/or maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology space
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and support application maintenance
• Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications
• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements and estimate work necessary for delivery
• Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
• Work with a team of Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed
• Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation
• Effectively communicate with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelines

Requirements:

• Typically requires 10 years of applicable experience
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
• Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, and TPT
• Experience with Informatica 10.x and UNIX Shell scripting
• Experience with Autosys, Cloudera CDP, and Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala)
• Strong data analysis, data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills for large scale AML data assets
• Experience with database-intensive development, data migrations, conversions, and SQL performance tuning
• Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts
• Effective communication and listening skills

Desired Skills:

• Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crimes

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
