divh2Commercial Vehicle Service Manager/h2pInterstate Utility Trailer, a semi-trailer dealership and full-service semi-trailer repair shop is looking for a dynamic hands-on Service Manager who can effectively lead, direct and manage our service departments in the Franklin and Cincinnati OH area. This is an exciting opportunity with the support of a company that has been in business for over 40 years./ppJob Summary: The Service Manager will oversee the facility and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of trailers, trucks, and heavy equipment./ph3Supervisory Responsibilities:/h3ulliHires and trains shop employees./liliOversees the daily workflow and schedules of shop employees./liliConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive./liliHandles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy./liliPrepare and submit/present accurate and timely reports as needed/li/ulh3Duties/Responsibilities for Shop Manager:/h3ulliPlans and coordinates tasks and activities of the repair shop, working on trailers, trucks, and heavy equipment./liliPrepares maintenance schedules for all needed repairs./liliOperates diagnostic equipment to determine repairs that need to be made./liliPerforms repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment./liliMaintains database of maintenance and repair records for company vehicles and equipment./liliOversees shop inventory; orders parts, shop supplies, and equipment./liliEnsures all applicable safety standards and regulations are followed in the facility./liliPerforms other related duties as assigned./liliKnowledge of OSHA and DOT/li/ulh3Duties/Responsibilities for Parts Management:/h3ulliStrong supervisory and leadership skills./liliGood communication skills are a must./liliClass A CDL is a plus./liliExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills./liliExcellent mechanical skills./liliExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail./liliExtensive knowledge of trailer repair/liliExtensive knowledge of vehicle, truck, and heavy equipment repair./liliAbility to visually diagnose mechanical issues./liliAbility to read service and repair manuals./liliAbility to use hand and power tools./liliProficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software./liliProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain service record database and track inventory./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliA high school diploma or equivalent is required./liliFive to seven years of related experience preferred./li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3ulliProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer./liliMust be able to perform repairs physically./liliMust be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present./liliMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time./liliGood vision to inspect repair work./liliMust be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections./li/ulpTo join the team please call Vicki at View phone number on click.appcast.io or apply on our website at M/F/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories.
