School Nurse Position

This contract opportunity near Boston, MA focuses on delivering 1:1 care for a male Out of District student, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the academic day and during transportation. The position is expected to run through the remainder of the 2025/26 school year, continuing over the summer, with potential to extend into the coming academic year.

What you'll bring:

• An active and valid Massachusetts nursing certificate (LPN or RN)
• Experience working in school or pediatric environments is highly valued
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Strong clinical judgment and a compassionate approach to student care
• Capacity to function independently and adapt to changing daily needs
• Reliable transportation for traveling with the student as needed

Responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 nursing care and supervision during school hours and transportation
• Monitoring and managing the students medical needs according to care plan
• Responding effectively to urgent situations or changes in the students condition
• Collaborating with school staff, district leaders, and families to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintaining thorough, accurate medical documentation and communication
• Supporting the students participation and integration in school activities

This assignment offers consistent, full-time hours (around 40 per week), with an anticipated end date for the current fall semester of December 23, 2026, and the possibility for continued service in the 2026/27 year.
