Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Commercial Kitchen Appliance Technician to join our team. You will travel to client locations to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment. This role requires technical expertise, a strong focus on safety, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, gas, and plumbing issues on commercial appliances like ovens, fryers, grills, steamers, dishwashers, and walk-in coolers.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks to catch potential problems early and prevent costly kitchen shutdowns.
• Installation: Set up and commission new commercial kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Documentation: Keep clear digital or paper logs of parts used, repairs made, and service notes.
• Customer Service: Communicate professionally with restaurant managers and staff, explaining issues and offering operation tips.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing commercial kitchen or HVAC/R equipment.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, gas lines, line voltage, and plumbing.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. EPA Universal Certification is required for refrigeration work; CFESA certification is a plus.
• Tools: Proficiency in using a multi-meter and standard mechanical tools.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry heavy parts or equipment weighing up to 50–75 lbs.
• Stand, kneel, bend, and work in tight or warm kitchen spaces for extended periods.
