The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking a dynamic, board‑certified Radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology . Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Radiology Service, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, and teleradiology. Supervise a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff. Ensure compliance with VHA policies, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize imaging services and support patient care. Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, and strategic planning initiatives. Participate in clinical duties, including interpretation of imaging studies and performance of procedures. Qualifications U.S. citizenship required. Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Radiology. Active, unrestricted medical license. Join our dynamic surgical team and provide exceptional care in diverse surgical procedures, ranging from general, vascular, and thoracic surgeries to orthopedic, GU, ENT, ophthalmology, and podiatric operations. You'll also be integral for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in our cardiac catheterization lab and interventional radiology. What You'll Do Conduct pre‑operative patient exams and prepare them for anesthesia. Administer general and regional anesthesia, and provide monitored anesthesia care. Ensure patient homeostasis during perioperative and critical care periods. Diagnose and treat painful syndromes. Manage and teach cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation methods. Evaluate respiratory functions and implement respiratory therapies. Supervise, teach, and assess both medical and paramedical personnel. Engage in groundbreaking research to enhance evidence‑based practices. Provide direct patient care across multiple settings including OR, PACU, ICU, ward, and out‑of‑OR procedures. Participate in administrative and quality improvement activities.
