Certified Pharmacy Technician

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will evaluate and authorize approval of commercial prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers using clinical criteria in a call center environment. Responsibilities + Evaluate and authorize approval of pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria, documenting prior authorization outcomes and communicating pharmacy benefit coverage and formulary alternatives. + Determine the appropriateness of medications and communicate decisions to physicians, office staff, medical management, and pharmacists. + Escalate requests requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist following clear guidelines. Requirements + High school diploma or GED + State registration/license + National Pharmacy Technician Certification required (PTCB or NHA). + 1+ years of experience in retail or call center pharmacy environment Work Environment This is a 100% remote position. The role involves 8-hour shifts between 7:15am CST - 9 pm CST, 5 days a week. Shifts will be determined based on candidate availability, so please apply to discuss your availability.
