Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital in Rome, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and the ability to scrub and circulate both Cath and EP procedures.

Job Details

• Work setting is a 361-bed Level 2 Trauma designated teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center,
• Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory unit handling Cath Lab and EP procedures,
• Cath Lab patient types include chest pain, LHC, RHC, PTCA, and stent procedures; EP cases include ablations, loop recorders, and pacemaker/defibrillator placement,
• 4x10-hour day shifts (0700-1730) on a 6-week schedule cycle,
• On-call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4th-5th weekend, with a 30-minute response time requirement,
• RNs will float to the Cath Lab Prep/Recovery area,
• Weekend rotation details are discussed during the interview,
• EMR is Epic,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - GA state or Compact license required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required, with most recent experience within the last year,
• Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating both Cath and EP procedures required,
• Ability to administer moderate sedation, titrate and manage critical drips, and prep/recover patients,
• Experience with Cath Lab-specific equipment: BBG, ACT, Balloon Pumps, and Impella,
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,

• Must cover 70% of assigned holidays,
