Traveling Site Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Site Superintendent to oversee construction activities across multiple project locations. This role is responsible for coordinating field operations, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Frequent travel is required, with assignments varying by project scope and location.


Key responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, trades, and site personnel; coordinating daily activities and sequencing work to meet project milestones; reviewing plans, specifications, and schedules; and resolving field issues in collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients. The Superintendent will conduct regular site inspections, monitor quality and progress, maintain accurate daily reports, track materials and equipment, and support project meetings. Responsibilities also include enforcing site safety policies, coordinating inspections, managing site logistics, and ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, permits, and contractual requirements.


Qualified candidates will have several years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a comparable field leadership role, with a strong background in commercial, industrial, or multifamily construction. Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and technical documents is essential, along with strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality-control practices. The successful candidate will be an organised and decisive leader who communicates effectively, manages competing priorities, and builds productive relationships with project teams and subcontractors. Proficiency with construction management software and standard reporting tools is preferred. A valid driver's licence, willingness to travel extensively, and flexibility to work varied hours are required.
