Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Fri–Sat or Sat–Mon) | Rotational holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients with complex, actual, or potential life-threatening conditions including Sepsis, Acute MI, ARDS, strokes, TIAs, seizures, renal conditions, and post-vascular procedure patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Perform invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring and manage patients on mechanical ventilation via ET tube and trach, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors and sedation agents such as Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin
• Manage patients with lumbar drains, CRRT, IABP, and Impella devices as applicable
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; no monitor technician is assigned to the unit
• Float as required to Stepdown, Med-Surg/Telemetry, or the Emergency Department to care for boarded ICU or Stepdown patients; travelers float in rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum two years of critical care (ICU) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; no travel duos accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Ability to manage a 1:2 patient ratio (up to 1:3 in overflow or PCU downgrade situations)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, and/or Impella devices strongly preferred
