Job Description
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
The Shipper/Receiver III Spotter position is responsible for managing the movement of trailers across lots. This position is also responsible for operating industrial forklift trucks to perform material movement assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Spots designated trailer(s) from trailer lot to assigned dock door or from dock door to trailer lot
- Ensures that all trailer wheels are chocked
- Maintains daily equipment condition report
- Maintains a clean parking/docking area in accordance with standards
- Maintain driver maintenance of vehicle
- Ensure trailers are in adequate operational condition
- Maintain a valid CDL license
- Track and audit trailer inventory
- Operate forklift to perform Shipping & Receiving tasks
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience including backing into docks
- Forklift experience
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
- Current Class A CDL License
- Current DOT Physical and Drug Screen
