SP Industries Inc. is hiring for our team in Pocomoke City, MD and has an immediate opening for a Picker/Packer. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, packing and shipping various products from inventory. This is a full-time, 1st shift position with a schedule of Monday - Friday with hours from 7am - 3:30pm. Essential duties and responsibilities include reading and filling customer orders, assembling and packing customer orders from stock, marking materials with identifying information, maintaining shipping records, preparing parcels for mailing, maintaining inventory records, and operating a forklift.
Qualifications and education preferred include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), basic math skills and computer literacy, and one to three months related experience in a warehouse work setting. Must demonstrate a solid work history and attendance record. Payrate: $15 - $17/hr.
Health, safety and environment responsibilities include working in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures, refraining from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled, reporting any unsafe conditions or acts, reporting defects in any equipment or protective device, ensuring that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks, attending all required health, safety and environmental training, reporting any accidents/incidents to supervisor, and assisting in investigating accidents/incidents.
