(AMT), an employee owned consultant engineering firm, is seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor / Survey Project Manager to join our Team in Richmond, VA office.Position will supervise a team of field and office survey staff, manage clients, project schedules, budgets, and deadlines. Establish task outline and survey procedures for each task assignment. Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews for each task assignment. Provide mentoring for office and field survey staff.Excellent Work / Life Balance opportunity with optional Hybrid work arrangements. ResponsibilitiesSupervise office and field survey staffPrepare survey task outlines with the role and responsibility of each survey staff assigned to the projectPerform kickoff meetings with engineering managers and clients to confirm the limits of the survey, the scope of work, and key Briefing and Debriefing of field crews on daily work performed.Oversee scheduling of field and office survey staffCorrespond and coordinate with clientsPerform quality control checks of field survey data collection and office survey computations and completed survey drawingsProvide mentoring for survey office and field staffPerform troubleshooting on challenges encountered on survey task assignmentsPrepare proposal scoping and feesTrack project schedule and budgetProject InvoicingResponsible for the financial outcome of survey tasks and projectsQualifications10+ years of surveying experience or comparable survey coursework with degreeBachelor's Degree in Geography, surveying, or engineering preferredVirginia Licensed SurveyorValid Driver's License and safe driving recordSupervisory experience, leadership skills, and well as written and oral communication skillsExcellent client services and client management skillsExcellent organizational skills and following AMT survey protocolAbility to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent survey task assignmentsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong team player with a commitment to company valuesMentoring survey office staff and field staffAbility to work under and respond to stressful situationsDemonstrate ability to develop personally and professionallyAbility to operate a financially successful teamWhy Join AMT?At AMT, we understand that our most valuable asset is our staff.
