Provide exceptional care for patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting. Written documentation on patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab. Periodic written communication to physicians through progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT regarding assessment and plan, and co-signed by PT Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate patient progression, discharge and patient follow up. Supervising Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed. Compliance with daily paperwork which includes documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc). Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices. Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEU’s through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities. Develops positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams at IBJI. Takes an active role in the patient medical team by facilitating relationships with PT’s, MD’s and case managers as appropriately directed by supervising PT. Participates in IBJI sponsored programs including mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach, etc. Requirements Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Holds current license to practice in Illinois. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Current CPR certification. Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing Ability to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutesAbility to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
