Gastroenterologist (Locums)

A healthcare network is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage. The physician will deliver GI consults, procedures, and longitudinal care.

About the Opportunity

Schedule: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and endoscopy blocks
Specialty: Gastroenterology

Key Responsibilities

Perform endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, etc.).
Diagnose and manage GI disorders (IBD, liver disease, GERD).
Provide inpatient GI consults and manage emergencies (GI bleeds, obstructions).
Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, and dietitians.
Document procedures and patient encounters in EMR.

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted state license.
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Preferred: Advanced endoscopy training.
