GLC Government Services is seeking a licensed and dependable Radiology Technician to support our contract at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Herlong in California.
Requirements:
- State license to perform radiologic procedures
- Current ARRT certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Current CPR certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
- Strong organizational, communication, and patient‑care skills
- Ability to work in a correctional healthcare environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine radiologic exams (chest, bone, skull, spine, portable X‑rays)
- Select proper exposure factors and patient positioning for quality images
- Explain procedures and support patients during exams
- Identify abnormalities and notify physicians as needed
- Maintain patient records and schedule exams
- Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance
- Respond to emergencies during procedures
- Work with medical staff and follow correctional safety protocols
