RN - Medical Surgical Ortho

Certifications: ACLS & BLS (AHA or ARC); Minimum 1 year of Med Surg Ortho RN Experience Required Immunizations: MMR, Varicella or Declination, Hep B or Declination, Flu or Declination, TB Ideal Candidate: Able to pick up 2 shifts per week, work 2 weekends every 6 weeks, and 1 major + 1 minor holiday annually. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Med/Surg Ortho RNs care for patients recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and spine surgeries. Daily duties include post-op assessments, pain management, wound and dressing care, and monitoring for complications like blood clots or infection. RNs assist with mobility protocols, coordinate physical therapy sessions, manage traction or immobilization devices, and educate patients on weight-bearing restrictions and home care.
