Machine Operator (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)Location: Spearfish, SDSchedule: Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights), including some SaturdaysLaunch Your Manufacturing Career with AdeccoAdecco is currently hiring Machine Operators for a leading manufacturer of geosynthetic products used in environmental protection, erosion control, mining, infrastructure, water management, and containment projects throughout North America.This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, where you will work as an Adecco employee for up to 90 days, with the potential to be hired directly by our client based on performance, attendance, and business needs.If you are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.Position OverviewAs a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality geosynthetic materials while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction OperationsStart up, operate, and shut down designated production equipment safely and efficiently.Set up and adjust machinery according to production schedules and product specifications.Manage raw material changes and monitor material flow during production runs.Set up blending systems and ensure proper material formulations are utilized.Perform product changeovers while minimizing downtime.Troubleshoot machine issues and make operational adjustments as needed.Monitor equipment performance and production output to ensure quality standards are met.Conduct quality control inspections and make sound product quality decisions.Assist in monitoring additional production equipment as directed.Team SupportTrain and assist new operators on production procedures and safety practices.Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and productivity.Safety & ComplianceFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.Identify, report, and help correct unsafe working conditions.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training programs.QualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to read, write, and accurately complete production documentation and reports.Basic math skills involving weights, lengths, measurements, and production calculations.Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when required.Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work at elevated levels.Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot manufacturing conditions.Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and some Saturdays.PreferredOne or more years of manufacturing or industrial experience.Previous machine operation experience in manufacturing, plastics, extrusion, textiles, construction materials, or related industries.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.What Success Looks LikeProducing high-quality products that consistently meet customer specifications.Maintaining safe and efficient equipment operations.Minimizing downtime through proactive troubleshooting and attention to detail.Contributing to team goals while supporting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Why Join Through Adecco?Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment after up to 90 daysCompetitive weekly payMedical, dental, and vision benefits availableAccess to training and career development resourcesOpportunity to gain experience with an industry-leading manufacturerLong-term career growth potential for dependable, motivated individualsApply Today!Take the next step in your manufacturing career with Adecco.
