Horizon Health is a growing, independent, community-based nonprofit healthcare system headquartered in Paris, Illinois, with a strong record of expanding access to high-quality care close to home. With more than $130 million in net patient revenue, more than 750 full-time employees, 60-plus employed providers, and 19 locations across east-central Illinois and west-central Indiana, Horizon Health offers a broad continuum of healthcare services centered on its 25-bed critical access hospital. Recent growth, new rural health clinics, and major facility improvements reflect an organization investing actively in the future of the communities it serves. The Horizon Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Type I supporting foundation. Established in 2015, the Foundation grew from its founders’ belief in philanthropy’s power to help shape the future of patient care. Although the Horizon Health Foundation and Horizon Health are separate legal entities, they share a unified purpose: to provide extraordinary healthcare to Edgar County and surrounding communities in Illinois, as well as to Vigo County and Terre Haute, Indiana. Today, the Foundation has the opportunity to broaden community engagement and philanthropic support for a health system whose reach and ambitions continue to grow to better serve its communities. Horizon Health has retained Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC to help recruit an Executive Director for the Horizon Health Foundation. Working closely with the Foundation Board of Directors and Horizon Health President and CEO Jay Carmichael, the Executive Director will lead the Foundation’s fundraising program, strengthen donor and community relationships, and align philanthropic support with Horizon Health’s strategic and capital priorities. The successful Executive Director will be an experienced development professional with a proven track record in annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, grants, events, and planned giving. The Executive Director will also be an effective relationship builder who can collaborate with hospital and Foundation leadership, donors, volunteers, physicians, staff, and community partners to increase philanthropic support for Horizon Health. The compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with the successful candidate’s background and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
