Senior Network Engineer

Static1 Specializes in Designing, Deploying and Managing Customized Network, Cloud and Data Center Solutions Job Description Assist in the designs and implementation of MANs including DWDM systems, network switches, network routers at internal and client facilities, data centers and network hub locations Provides technical support to customers, product specialists, and consultants regarding networks/systems. Coordinates and performs on-site customer work including network equipment configuration, installations, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance. Resolves first-level and second-level customer problems and answers questions. Resolves issues and escalates as appropriate. Serves as liaison between the company and customers. Conveys customer feedback to technical design and engineering staff. Serves as the customer service focal point during the projects and for a defined time period following completion. Completes existing project task lists with dates and responsibilities to ensure execution of each task. Maintains relationships with the customer project team members and various departments and individuals. Assists with problem resolution as required by applying personal experience in combination with various vendors and networks. Assists with training new staff members. May prepare statements of work, quotes, presentations and proposals May deliver hardware onsite to clients and vendors Installs and configures necessary network monitoring and management systems Maintains documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures and service records relating to hardware and software Assist with network design and implementation of firewalls and applies firewall policies and rule sets to multiple systems with impeccable documentation Participate in after business hour support and incident, response escalations Work with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices Qualifications Expert knowledge and experience configuring and operating Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Arista switches and routers. CCIE, CCNP and JCIEcertifications preferred Expert in Carrier technologies including but not limited to: BGP, VRF Lite, ISIS, MPLS, BFD, CCC, GRE and RSVP Expert in Routing Protocols including but not limited to: IBGP, OSPF, VRRP, VARP, HSRP, and PBR Expert in administering firewall policies on multiple platforms: Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco & Fortinet Experience with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment, wireless access points, firewall policies across different platforms Detailed oriented and organized Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
