Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Bowling Green, KY. We seek a dedicated Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in a long term acute care hospital setting, focusing on restoring function following critical illness and neurological conditions. The role involves interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, patient and family education, supervision of COTAs and students, and adherence to safety and documentation standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Kentucky Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in neuro or outpatient neuro settings preferred; clinical rotation in outpatient neuro acceptable if limited direct experience.
• Experience with patient assessment, individualized treatment planning, discharge planning, and documentation in an acute or long-term care environment.
• Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT students.
• Ability to follow facility safety policies, safe patient handling practices, and infection control procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in long term acute care or critical illness rehabilitation settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with adaptive equipment recommendations and caregiver training.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team processes and quality improvement initiatives.

Assignment Details

• Shift structure: Day, 5x8.
• May require supervision of COTAs and OT students.
• Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
