Diet Technician Dietary Department Full Time Rotating Shift

Compensation: $17.05Hr. - $24 Hr. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Position Purpose

To provide supervisory and operational services for the safe and proper administration of the appropriate diet to all patients.

Essential Functions

1. Checks patient trays, observing food quality, temperature, portion size, and adherence to menu.
2. Supervise all food service areas including cash count/balance, register closing and general sanitation.
3. Prepares production sheets for cooks and cold production.
4. Writes out charges for enteral supplements and submits these to Pharmacy.
5. Provides staff education for Foodservice personnel.
6. Maintains department records, reports, and files as requested.
7. Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital's confidentiality norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of Saint Anthony Hospital in all interactions with others.
8. Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
