Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized circulator nursing support in the operating room, assisting during various surgical procedures. Ensure patient safety, facilitate efficient workflow, and coordinate with surgical teams to maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with surgical procedures by providing sterile technique and supporting the surgical team.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response during surgeries, reporting any complications immediately.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary supplies and equipment to ensure readiness.
• Document all perioperative activities accurately, maintaining detailed patient records.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Demonstrate prior experience as an OR Circulator or in a similar ASC/OR setting.
• Possess solid knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to intraoperative changes and emergencies.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
