Part Time - General Medicine Nurse

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a general medicine unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Use critical nursing skills to evaluate and address patient barriers and preferences.
• Maintain documentation and communication of care plans, promoting teamwork and continuity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards of nursing care.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active RN license.
• Med surg experience is preferred; no prior experience required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
