Packaging Operator

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Packaging Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a chemical manufacturing or production environment and be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals while operating packaging and processing equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely package chemical products into totes, drums, and pails following established procedures.
• Repack and relabel chemical products as needed.
• Operate automated control systems and manual process/packaging equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic equipment issues.
• Perform light maintenance and prepare equipment for maintenance activities.
• Complete production documentation and record batch information in SAP.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations within training and qualification limits.
• Work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating forklifts.
• Comfortable working with flammable and hazardous chemicals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and scrapers.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to connect hoses and operate manual valves.
• Must be able to wear FRC (Flame-Resistant Clothing) and a full-face respirator (clean-shaven requirement applies).
• Ability to pass an ARK2 Physical with Spirometry.
