Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week
Cancellation Policy: One shift cancellation per week permitted
Floating: Must be willing to float to similar units or locations as needed

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is responsible for providing high-quality clinical care and support to patients with a variety of medical conditions. Candidates should be proficient in cardiac, medical, orthopedic, and neurological patient care, with an emphasis on telemetry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient conditions effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform essential nursing skills and interventions according to established protocols.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse is required and must be up-to-date.
• Experience with travel nursing is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

Navy scrubs are required. Candidates should be adaptable and flexible regarding location, shifts, and departments. All requirements for clinical practice must be current and documented.
