Senior Underwriter

Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Underwriter (or an experienced underwriter ready for the next step) to support commercial lending.


Key Responsibilities:

• Independently underwrite complex credits, including CRE, C&I, SBA, and ag.
  
  
• Partner with credit administration and loan officers to structure deals.
  
  
• Mentor junior analysts and underwriters.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with policy, regulatory, and risk standards.
  
  
• Present credit decisions to senior credit committee.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of underwriting experience (title may not yet be “Senior”).
  
  
• Strong credit judgment and ability to manage complex credits.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills to interface with both bankers and executives.
  
  
• Experience in a community bank or credit union environment is strongly preferred.

Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 base, depending on experience
