Registered Nurse

This position involves working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The unit has a total of 35 beds with patient ratios typically ranging from 5 to 7 patients per nurse. Staffing generally includes 2 to 4 techs based on census. Equipment utilized in the unit includes vital signs machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation is performed using the Meditech system. Nurses will work 12-hour shifts with a schedule that includes every other weekend. There may be a floating policy to other medical-surgical departments as needed. Preferred candidates will have experience in rehabilitation. Common procedures performed on this unit include medication administration, IVs, PICC and PEG tube administration, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter placement, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. The dress code requirement is navy blue or white solid scrubs. This role presents an opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Team members may include nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiatrists, physician assistants, and neuropsychologists. The aim is to support patient functional improvements and help achieve goals for functional independence.
