Limited Permit Respiratory Student PRN

A Brief Overview The Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.

What You Will Do

• Medicated aerosol delivery
• Airway clearance therapy
• Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)
• Oxygen and humidity therapy
• Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

Education

• High School Diploma / GED
• Enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program (Required)

Work Experience

• Experience in basic respiratory therapy procedures (Preferred) and Student experience (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Holder of current Ohio Limited Practice Permit (Required)
