Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, accurately identifying their unique care needs and mental health challenges.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, addressing emotional difficulties related to aging, loss, and life transitions.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including nurses, social workers, and doctors—to develop comprehensive, tailored care plans that respect each client’s wishes and promote their mental health.

• Offer educational workshops and information sessions for staff and families, equipping them with effective strategies to support emotional wellness in seniors.

• Facilitate grief counseling for clients and their families navigating the challenges of end-of-life issues, ensuring a sensitive and compassionate approach.

• Implement evidence-based cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions to enhance memory and cognitive function in elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with seniors who are coping with various life challenges, including but not limited to loss of loved ones, significant life transitions, and mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
