Cloud Engineer (AWS) Location: Durham, NC Remote till covid Duration: 12+ months Job Description: Programming Java or C++, Python or any high level language, Java Script, NodeJS Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture standard methodologies Developing and deploying cloud based applications in AWS Demonstrable understanding of AWS core services Understanding of application lifecycle management Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS Ability to apply a basic understanding of cloud-native applications to write code Understanding of AWS security practices Understanding of AWS serverless computing (lambda) Understanding of the use of containers in the development process The Skills You Bring: Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation, serverless, compute, container and database services) Ability to apply design patterns and object-orientation to solutions Exposure to Unix shell and PowerShell scripting Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration preferred Experience carrying out the Software Development Lifecycle in an agile environment Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse preferred) Experience with machine learning and AI models is a plus Samprasoft
