Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the pre-operative setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on pre-operative procedures and care.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and reactions to medications.
• Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure a smooth transition to the operating room.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Pre-Operative or similar nursing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

The facility has a total bed capacity of 383.
