Based in our Sidney, OH, location, you will support the design, development, and qualification of oil-free centrifugal compressors for HVACR systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside product and design engineers in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.As an HVACR Assembly Lab Technician, you will:Assemble and test centrifugal compressors following detailed engineering build instructionsOperate laboratory assembly and measurement equipment, including hydraulic presses, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, voltage meters, and standard hand toolsFabricate supporting components for non-standard tests, including brazing, soldering, grinding, sanding/lapping, drilling/tapping, and wiringCollect and document build data to ensure compliance with standards and takt timesAssist with general laboratory upkeep and maintenanceSchedule: This position is for 1st shift and would consist of five-eight-hour workdays. Capable of working overtime. This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.Required Education, Experience & SkillsAssociate degree in a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsPractical, hands-on experience working with mechanical equipment and basic instrumentationDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applicationsLegal authorization to work in the United States is required.
