Position Overview We invite you to join our team as a proficient and caring Sonography / Ultrasound Specialist , a role essential to our dedicated imaging community committed to exceptional patient care. You will wield cutting-edge ultrasound technology to perform a variety of diagnostic exams, all while working in collaboration with a team of compassionate medical professionals, helping deliver prompt and accurate imaging to provide reassurance to patients. Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct an assortment of ultrasound examinations, including those for abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures, explaining each step with warmth and care
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure top-quality diagnostic images
- Manage and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring prompt reporting of any malfunctions
- Document procedures accurately and foster meticulous patient record-keeping in the electronic medical record system
- Remain informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and best practices
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
- Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
- Current ARDMS certification or equivalent credential
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
- Expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and adept patient positioning
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to function independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
