Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct an assortment of ultrasound examinations, including those for abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures, explaining each step with warmth and care
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure top-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring prompt reporting of any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and foster meticulous patient record-keeping in the electronic medical record system
• Remain informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current ARDMS certification or equivalent credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
