About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Strategic Engagement to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of enhancing the reliability and security of the bulk power system. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the company's engagement activities, including outreach to industry and government partners across North America. This executive will also spearhead marketing, communications, branding, and reputation-building initiatives, serving as a key spokesperson and external representative. A deep understanding of the energy sector, particularly in the Western Interconnection, and a proven track record of strategic engagement, are essential for this role. Applicants for the Vice President, Strategic Engagement position at the company should hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree or MBA being a plus, and have at least 15 years of experience in business leadership within the electric utility industry, a non-profit organization, or a regulatory/policy role in an energy-related field. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in external affairs, corporate communications, and significant senior management experience. The ideal candidate will have a history of engaging in policy discussions with various levels of government and a broad understanding of the industry's landscape.
