We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about patient care, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a supportive, collaborative environment.About The RoleAs part of our Pharmacy team, you will perform a variety of important duties that keep our patients healthy and our pharmacy running smoothly. From filling in prescriptions to maintaining inventory, your work ensures every patient gets the care they need, with the compassion they deserve.What You Will DoReceive written and verbal prescriptions, and verify patient information, including insurance details and allergies.Enter prescription data accurately into the system while maintaining up-to-date patient profiles and inventory records.Prepare prescriptions and ensure all are verified by the pharmacist prior to dispensing.Provide prescriptions to patients, offering basic guidance and referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.Process payments for prescriptions and over-the-counter items.Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies, utilizing a first-in, first-out (FIFO) method; conduct periodic stock audit.Receive and verify shipments against invoices (e.g., quantities, pricing) and restock inventory accordingly.Store medications appropriately, including refrigeration of perishable itemsSupport administrative functions, including report preparation and correspondence as needed.Perform billing-related tasks, including reconciliations and processing third-party insurance claims.Maintain organized and accurate filing systems.Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.Participate in required in-service training and departmental meetings.What We Are Looking ForMust have a high school diploma or GED and one plus year(s) of experience in a medical setting with some aspect of patient care, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have an active pharmacy technician license/certificate.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Must have ability to speak effectively and with warmth and compassion using the telephone.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
