Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent)
• Experience in an operating room setting preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and remain composed in high-pressure situations
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring necessary supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are sterile and ready
• Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery and adhere strictly to aseptic practices
• Account for instruments and materials before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Support patient positioning, draping, and safety measures with attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and surgeons for seamless case flow
• Participate in post-operative room clean-up and turnarounds as needed
