Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Digital Design)Rochester, New York Employment Type: Full Time Work Schedule: 9/80 (Employees work 9 out of every 14 days; every other Friday off) The Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Digital Design) will contribute to business success by participating in digital circuit board design and product integration for radios and associated equipment. This position reports to a Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for successfully designing digital circuit boards, supporting product integration, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing introduction and full product lifecycle execution.Key Responsibilities / Essential FunctionsSupport digital and related analog hardware research, design, and development of circuit board assembliesDevelop requirements from: high-level use cases and product description documentsDigital hardware PCB design including requirements analysis, high-level design, schematic capture, and layout analysisMake design decisions and assess technical risksPerform simulations and analysis such as digital signal integritySupport integration with other subsystemsPerform subsystem and system level verification and validation testing (V&V)Identify, track, troubleshoot, and repair assigned hardware defectsAbility to obtain US Security ClearanceMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree + 4 years prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree + 2 years prior related experience OR In lieu of degree: 8 years relevant experiencePreferred / Nice to Have SkillsExperience using automation tools such as Python and LabVIEWKnowledge of EMI/EMC design & test techniques (conducted/radiated emissions): MIL-STD-461Knowledge of environmental testing methods: MIL-STD-810Basic understanding of RF circuits and architecturesExperience with Boundary Scan methodologies and tools
