Air Logistics Gateway Operations Specialist

Overview As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage and coordinate air freight shipments at gateway locations, ensuring smooth import and export operations. The role focuses on shipment processing, documentation, and compliance while maintaining efficient communication between carriers, warehouses and customers to meet delivery timelines and service standards. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and maintain data integrity Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations Interact and collaborate closely with the air export departments within the region Arrange bookings with carriers and optimize cargo consolidations Ensure timely processing and delivery to the airport; maintain constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during consolidation Track and trace shipments, monitor vendor performance and resolve service irregularities Contribute to strong vendor and internal customer relationships Maintain compliance with internal policies, external regulations and customer requirements Meet key performance indicators supporting department, branch, product and company goals Daily update and monitor reporting tools Analyze processes and identify efficiency improvements Support pricing team on rate quotes Perform other duties as assigned Adhere to internal healthcare guidelines and global quality requirements Ensure training compliance per the training matrix Maintain basic GxP awareness (WHO GSDP, EU GDP, etc.) Coordinate and support quality matters related to KN’s Products SecureChain and Semicon Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive with strong planning, organisational and analytical skills Profit conscious and detail oriented Independent and team oriented work style Priority setting and multitasking under demanding deadlines Proficient computer skills (email, internet, Excel, Word) Good knowledge of international geography and major cities Solid knowledge of export procedures/documentation; experience with Pharma, Aerospace, Automotive, Semicon is a plus What You’ll Receive The hourly wage range for this position is $27.00 to $32.00 an hour, with a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary based on experience, skills, location, internal pay equity and other factors. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
