Ed Tech III Math and Literacy Interventionist - MCS (990)

Margaret Chase Smith School is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Math & Literacy Interventionist position as part of the Title 1 team. MCS serves approximately 375 students in grades PreK-4 in the Sanford area. We proudly offer outstanding specialists in art, music, physical education, health and media/library. While we provide Title I literacy and math, English to Speakers of Other Languages and Gifted and Talented Programs, our staff and students are also supported by coaches and interventionists in literacy and math. Check out our website for more information and details: The position will play a critical role in supporting student math & literacy development through targeted instruction and collaboration with staff. This position is an integral part of our school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions for students Deliver push-in classroom support in collaboration with classroom teachers Actively participate in and help facilitate the MTSS process and team meetings Collaborate positively and effectively with teachers, staff, and families Qualifications Appropriate Ed.Tech III certification required Experience working with elementary students encouraged Strong understanding of literacy & math instruction, intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff Demonstrates patience, kindness, and compassion Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement The Sanford School Department values a strong sense of community, a focus on student growth, and a collaborative professional culture.
