Managing Economist

Overview BRG is a consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC; New York, NY; and Boston, MA. We are hiring Economists, Healthcare Economists, and Econometricians to work on complex legal, regulatory, and business challenges in the healthcare sector. Responsibilities Design and conduct economic, statistical, and financial analyses using transactional and financial data. Develop inferential and predictive models, and manage the execution of both quantitative and qualitative engagement work streams. Plan, manage, and delegate tasks for small to medium‑sized client engagements and portions of larger projects. Develop analyses, financial, econometric, and statistical models, and create client deliverables. Manage client relationships, communicate results, and ensure work product meets quality standards. Prioritize assignments to meet goals and deadlines. Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, and support office functions such as staff training and recruiting. Qualifications Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s degree in economics, statistics, health economics, or related field. Experience in generating and applying econometric modeling techniques. Prior internships or work experience in economic or litigation consulting is a plus. Keen interest in economic, statistical, or financial analysis and research. Strong record of technical expertise through past publications. Proficiency with MS Excel and analytical software or relational database programs such as SAS, Stata, MS SQL Server, R, MS Access, or SPSS. Excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, and leadership skills. Desire to expand on existing capabilities. Compensation will be determined based on education, qualifications, and experience. Possible levels include Consultant ($70,000–$150,000), Managing Consultant ($100,000–$230,000), and Senior Managing Consultant ($110,000–$275,000).
