JOB GOAL:To administer the business affairs of theDistrictin such a way as to provide the best possible educational services with the financial resources available. DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the management of the financial activities of theDistrictaccording to state laws and regulations and ensures that all financial reports are filedin a timely mannerand in an acceptable format. Supervises the management of the accounting policies,proceduresand activities of theDistrictaccording to state laws,regulationsand attorney general opinions. Supervisesthesupportstaffmanagersofthefollowingdepartments:foodservice Supervisesthebusinessofficestaffinaccountspayable,payroll,purchasing,studentactivitiesandaccounting/finance. CreatesDistrict fund budgets in accordance with state and federal funding laws and allocates funds to budget categories. SupervisethemanagementofallDistrictbudgetstoensurethatspecificfundsarenotoverspentandthatall applicable laws are followed for legality of specific expenditures. CoordinatesallDistrictelectionsforbuildingconstruction,overridesandbondbuildingprojects. ManagestheDistrict’sliabilityinsuranceprogramandassiststhePersonnelTechnicianwithotheremployee insurance carrier and program benefits. RepresentstheSuperintendentwiththeMeetandConferprocess. ManagestheDistrict’sbuildingexpansionandrenovationprogramsasprioritizedbyDistrictCommitteesand approved by the District’s Governing Board. PursuesthedevelopmentandpassageoflegislationattheStateandFederallevelsthatarefavorabletotheDistrict. Performsotherdutiesasassigned. REPORTSTO: Superintendent QUALIFICATIONS: B.B.A.orB.S.BusinessDegree. Mustpossessatleasttwoyearsof administrativeexperienceinapublicschoolbusinessoffice. Mustpossessknowledgeofthemanagementofbuildingconstructionprojects. Mustpossessknowledgeofbudgetingandfinancelawsatthestateandfederallevels. Musthaveprovensuccessfulemploymentrecord. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee will be required to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, stand, walk, sit, use finger and manual dexterity, and repetitive finger motion.Employeemayberequiredtoliftupto20 pounds. CONDITIONOFEMPLOYMENT:Subjecttoa backgroundinvestigationtodeterminesuitabilityforemployment. EVALUATION:PerformancewillbeevaluatedinaccordancewiththeBoard’sPolicyandEvaluationof Professional Personnel.
