ETL Data Engineer Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12+ Interview: Virtual Than in person Job Description HHSC IT is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 / Data Engineer to support the development and enhancement of the Performance Management & Analytics System (PMAS) data integration hub. The candidate will work within an Agile environment to design, develop, automate, and maintain enterprise data integration and analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center/IICS Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF Design and develop complex Snowflake SQL scripts, views, and materialized views Transform source data into dimensional data models for analytics and reporting Collaborate with architects and data engineering teams on data integration strategies Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and SDLC activities Create technical documentation, specifications, and diagrams Support deployment, enhancement, and operations of the data integration hub Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica Power Center or IICS 8+ years of experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources/technologies using Informatica 8+ years of experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF data sources 8+ years of experience designing and developing complex Snowflake SQL scripts 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst/Data Analyst on data warehousing, analytics, or performance management projects 8+ years of strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving experience 8+ years of experience with technical documentation, Visio/Erwin, MS Office Suite, and MS Project 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise-level software platforms across multiple teams 8+ years of experience writing efficient, testable, and well-designed code using software development best practices Preferred Skills 6+ years of strong verbal and written communication skills 6+ years of experience managing multiple priorities and assignments in fast‑paced environments 4+ years of Agile/Scrum team experience 4+ years of experience with healthcare data security principles 4+ years of experience with BI/performance metrics visualization environments 4+ years of Healthcare Industry experience 4+ years of HHS agency experience 4+ years of experience handling PII/PHI data 4+ years of Python scripting experience 4+ years of experience using JIRA 2+ years of experience with REST/SOAP web services 2+ years of Java and JavaScript development experience 2+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions 2+ years of MuleSoft development experience 2+ years of experience using AI tools such as Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, or Informatica Claire Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Tech Mirrors
