Your Responsibilities:

As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Hylan Dental Care, responsibilities include examining patient oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. Recording and reviewing patient medical histories is also a necessity.

Additional responsibilities and requirements include:

• Cleaning calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth, and beneath gum margins with dental instruments
• Charting conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist
• Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
• Applying fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to prevent dental decay
• Must be flexible with hours Monday - Saturday

Qualifications:

• Registered Dental Hygienist must have the ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments
• Registered Dental Hygienist must have excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
• Registered Dental Hygienist should have experience using Vizilite, Velscope and/or Diagnodent a
• Registered Dental Hygienist should show leadership skills
• Registered Dental Hygienist must have an engaging personality with a desire to be patient focused
• Registered Dental Hygienist must be highly motivated and goal-oriented
• Eaglesoft computer experience is a plus
• Experience using electronic medical records is a plus

Education:

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in Ohio
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Bachelor’s degree a plus
• CPR Certification

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time
