Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - PRN

OVERVIEW Support Cardiac Cath Lab (CVI) at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center. Schedule: As needed per department guidelines. Shift: Variable Day Shift Hours starting at 7:00A. 2 call shifts every 6 weeks. Location: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville, WI. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists Cardiologist during diagnostic cardiac catheterization and complex coronary interventional procedures utilizing adjunctive therapies. Assists in the maintenance of Cath lab inventory. Assists with training and orientation of new staff. Assists with development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime during peak periods. Participates in the on-call roster. Performs other duties as assigned by the Cath Lab Coordinator or Heart Program Director. Education and Experience Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent. Two years experience as Cardiac Catheterization Tech I or equivalent. Certification and Licensure AART registered or registry eligible. Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License. Cardiovascular Technologist registered or registry eligible. BLS Certification. ACLS Certification (preferred). Special Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear a 15-pound lead apron.
