Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Accounts Supervisor – Full Time Days 9 AM‑5 PM Monday through Friday – Inpatient Billing. Job Responsibilities Billing Services Submits clear and accurate claims to third‑party carriers on a timely basis; utilizes electronic follow‑up system to perform billing activities; confirms receipt of third‑party claims and re‑bills as necessary; monitors time limits for compliance; troubleshoots problematic accounts. Account Review Reviews assigned accounts in Epic and third‑party remittances; verifies accurate charge posting and claims submission; analyzes open balances; documents actions; performs root‑cause analysis. Operations Supervises daily operations of the team including AR follow‑up and agencies; develops and maintains productivity standards; manages internal/external correspondence; monitors staff attendance and payroll; holds monthly staff and agency meetings. Staff Performance Provides coaching and feedback; completes probationary and annual performance appraisals; monitors performance through audits; conducts monthly reviews with staff. Analytics Performs data mining and in‑depth accounts‑receivable analysis; identifies proper criteria for reports; conducts root‑cause analysis; provides information for decision‑making. Customer Service Demonstrates commitment to customer service for internal and external parties; provides accurate information. Training Develops and maintains staff training plans and documents; provides feedback to management on training needs; supplies training tools to other departments. Special Projects Completes projects in a timely and organized manner; delegates projects if necessary. Compliance Adheres to compliance, departmental policies, HIPAA requirements, required trainings and hospital‑mandated activities. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree and/or 3–5 years of medical billing and collections experience. Knowledge of PC applications and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. At least one year of supervisory experience. Industry certification (AHIMA, HFMA, AAPC, etc.). Experience with Epic or other EHR systems (Epic preferred). Experience with ePremis billing software. Salary Transparency Salary range: $54,200 – $70,000 annually.
