Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift hospital position treating adult and potential pediatric patients.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit
• Patient population is primarily adult with potential for pediatric patients
• Night shift, working 3x12 hour and 4x12 hour rotating schedules (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT license required; CRT accepted
• License required if applicable
• Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, though medical and religious exemptions are reviewed case-by-case
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
• Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year

Additional Information

• Must work either a major or minor holiday during every holiday period
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront; no changes accepted after submission
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• After working one year, returning travelers must take a minimum 6 month break before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers may be considered
