Network Deployment Technician, DCC Communities

Position Overview AWS is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join our infrastructure operations team. The role focuses on supporting and expanding data center networks, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure across multiple locations. The position requires independent work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with frequent interaction with internal customers and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Scale support of multiple data center locations and manage day‑to‑day capacity. Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and manage ticketing workflows. Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues including patch panels and patch cords. Specify power and cooling requirements, ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment. Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Physical Requirements Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds, and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work in environments operating 24/7 with primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed. Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments. Stand, walk, bend, lift, stretch, and reach for up to 8+ hours a day. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely. Travel & Vehicle Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are necessary. Company transportation is not provided. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of computer networking experience. 1+ years of Linux operating system experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair. Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines. Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure. Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system. Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies. Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment). Industry standard certification such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+, or relevant field experience. Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, packet capture tools). Knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS, and TCP/IP.
