Job Title: Maintenance Electrician - 2nd or 3rd Shift | Alliance OH | $60,000-$72,000

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician for our industrial facility in Alliance, OH. The position offers an hourly rate between $28.80 and $32.70, with opportunities for overtime. The role involves industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy machinery across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting from 12v-480v and 3 phase on heavy industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical components in the plant including circuits, motors, lighting, control boxes/panels, and machine controls.
• Perform minor mechanical work on conveyors, gears, and bearings.
• Assist in repairing facility equipment such as conveyors, robotic arms, rollers, furnaces, and mobile equipment.
• Participate in special installations and projects.
• Interpret and understand drawings and schematics.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency with 480v and 3 phase electrical systems.
• Experience in machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of circuits, OHMs law, motors, panels, sensors, switches, and photo eyes.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman Card is advantageous and exempts from taking the Ramsey test.
• Trade School Certificate for Journeyman Course, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment for 4+ years is required.
• Willingness to undergo minimal training towards obtaining a Journeyman's card.

Work Environment

The work environment is a unionized, heavy industrial setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes, and extreme heat. Noise levels are loud, particularly around the tube drop-off areas. The environment is hot near furnaces and fair throughout the rest of the plant. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Shift options include 2nd shift (11 PM-7 AM) with a differential and 3rd shift (3 PM-11 PM). Training is conducted on the 1st shift (7 AM-3 PM).

This is a Permanent position based out of Alliance, OH.

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
